Where did the concept for ICE4PETS come from? From the Company owner’s personal experience and subsequent discussions with many people in and associated with hospitals, GPs, social workers, ambulance workers and police officers, covering a full range of age groups. A majority of these pet owning, animal loving people had not made provision for their pet(s) in case if any incapacity, emergency or their death! Who cares for my beloved pet (s) when incapacity or an emergency stops me from doing so? ICE4PETS Ltd will facilitate whatever care is needed in accordance with the arrangements we have agreed with you. Once registered with us your welcome pack will be dispatched, containing all the material you will need. We believe this will give you peace of mind and the reassurance that if you are restricted by illness, road traffic collision, accident or an untimely death, we will be on call 24 hours a day to ease your concerns and worries. What happens if I die? We agree to follow all your instructions explicitly (where the law allows) regarding the care and placement of your pet. You will need to include these instructions in your will. If you have already written a will these simple wishes and instructions can be added via a codicil. Your solicitor or legal adviser should be able to assist you with this. How will ICE 4PETS be notified of my death or incapacity to care for my pet? Your welcome pack will include a handy credit card sized information card, containing emergency contact details that you can place in your purse or wallet and which the emergency services can use to contact our dedicated 24 hours emergency telephone numbers. What range of pet(s) does this cover? ICE4PETS loves ALL animals and pets and therefore your arrangements with us will cover the majority of pets that are normally kept by individuals. Any exotic or Unusual pets can be discussed on an individual bases, usually at no extra cost. I have completed the instructions for my pet(s) regarding their re-homing and filled out the appropriate information in the event of my death. I also wish to leave a donation to my pet(s) future carer(s), how would I arrange this? When writing your will or codicil you will be able to discuss this issue with your solicitor as to the most appropriate way to make this donation or bequest. How do I register with ICE4PETS? To register is simple and will give you peace of mind in the event of an emergency, knowing that your beloved pet is safe and properly cared for. All you have to do is fill in the simple on line registration form and we will contact you and send your welcome pack by return of post. How much does it cost? Your Annual subscription to ICE4PETS is just £20.00 per year (that’s less than 50p per week!) plus a one off registration fee of £40.00 How many pets does it cover? Your registration fee of £40.00 and annual subscription fee of £20.00 covers ALL your pets as long as their care can be completed as per our terms and conditions (exotic/unusual pets by arrangement). What if I need to change the details of my chosen carers/will or move house? Any change in personal details can be done, in writing, at no extra costs. Although changes to carer’s details and replacement alert cards will involve a small administration fee £5.00. All confirmations can be completed by emails. Yes it is true, our team is working to develop and enhance our service. We are working hard at the moment on two more avenues to enhance this service even more. It is anticipated one will be at no extra cost to existing registered members, the other an optional extra. We will keep you updated via this site. ICE4PETS Ltd chosen charity is Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust and we will donate £1.00 for every new registration processed until further notice.
